Terms of service.

These terms apply to Plan Check, Quote Check, Damp Check, Project Guardian and related services supplied by Homeart Construction & Real Estate Ltd (company no. 16773607).

1. Nature of the service

Reports are indicative assessments prepared from information you supply and from public records. They are not RICS surveys, structural surveys, formal planning advice or legal advice. Where a report recommends a Lawful Development Certificate, planning application, structural engineer or specialist survey, that recommendation forms part of the advice.

2. Your information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information and images you provide. We may ask for more and may decline to report where information is insufficient, in which case we refund in full.

3. Delivery

Target delivery times are stated per product and run from receipt of complete information. If we miss the target we credit 20% of the fee automatically.

4. Fees and refunds

Fees include VAT. A full refund applies where we cannot assess the property at the free stage or decline the order. Once a report is delivered, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Liability

Our liability for any report is limited to the fee paid, except for death, personal injury or fraud. We are not liable for decisions taken by third parties, including local planning authorities and builders.

6. Build services

Building work is supplied under a separate written contract (JCT Homeowner or equivalent) and these terms do not apply to it.

7. Best Price Guarantee

Send us any written, itemised quote for your project. We compare it like-for-like — adding back everything it leaves out — then Home Art Build prices the same scope at least 5% lower. If we can't, your Quote Check fee is refunded in full.

1. The competing quote must be written and itemised, dated within the last 60 days, and from a registered company or VAT-registered builder with public liability insurance.
2. It must be for the same property, scope, specification and programme. We compare the levelled total: the quoted price plus the cost of any standard item it leaves out, as shown in your Quote Check report.
3. Projects in Greater London with a build value of £15,000 or more (inc. VAT).
4. Our guaranteed price is confirmed after a free site visit and a measured survey. If the visit reveals conditions the competing quote did not allow for, both quotes are adjusted for them equally.
5. If we cannot price the same scope at least 5% below the levelled total, we refund your Quote Check fee in full within 14 days.
6. One claim per property. You must accept the Home Art Build quote within 30 days of issue. The guarantee does not cover provisional sums, client-supplied items or work by other trades you appoint.
